RARE Antique French 1920 Pure Organic Cotton Embroidered Drop Waist Dress
Exceptional and RARE French antique drop waist dress, dating from the 1920s. Made from superb quality organic white cotton with delicate floral embroidery and broderie, this piece is a gorgeous example Jazz Age slip wear. The drop-waist construction, scalloped embroidery and soft woven fabric shoulder straps create an understated, almost minimalist romantic elegance, while the workmanship and detailing reflect the hand-finished techniques of the period. Both a wearable garment and an incredible piece of textile history to cherish for generations!
